Medical Biochemistry and Biotechnology

A text book on any subject cannot be written without the help and assistance of a number of people. They include peers, contemporaries, colleagues, students, technical and non-technical assistants, etc. Therefore, it has to be acknowledged that I owe much to many people, who I will not able to thank individually. Yet, I feel that I need to put on record my siThe seed for the preparation of this textbook was sown in my mind by one of my students, Mr. Sridhar, who suggested that I should compile all my earlier lectures and notes into a book for the benefit of undergraduate students, who find it difficult to comprehend the complexities of other books on the subject. I am thankful to him for his suggestion.
