VMware SRM Configuration Guide

VMware vSphere Site Recovery Manager (SRM) is a disaster recovery management product that provides automated recovery of protected clusters virtual machines between paired sites. Smaller sub sets of protected machines can also be used to provide simulated and real time DR testing.

This process provides the configuration steps for SRM, including site pairing, resource mapping, creation of protection groups and recovery plans.

This process assumes that two vCenter managed clusters have been deployed on separate physical sites and that SRM has been installed on both, see related documents. SRM and its associated databases are deployed to the same servers as vCenter with its embedded database and platform services controller (PSC) in this example process.
